Case Examples

The following examples are testimonies of how Pat Pat Power works with each contains a lesson learned.  Names are changed to protect privacy, except Jocelan and Ben, who gave permission to tell their story.

   A. Jocelan

Pat Pat Power started with the author and his wife, Jocelan.  When they met, it was love at first sight.  But then Jocelan’s trauma, and therefor her behavior, started to affect their relationship.  In Jocelan’s own words:

“When the last of the people who had caused me the deepest sorrow and anguish and pain (these were always the people closest to me, generally family) had passed away (or were out of my life by my own choice), I now believed I would be able to lead a productive and fulfilling life with Don, the man I loved and who loved me.  I have always loved the Lord and been of a naturally forgiving nature, never dwelling on or nursing past hurts or injustices, but always looking up and forward and pushing down and suppressing the negatives in my life.  What I did not understand about human nature, and most of us fail to acknowledge, especially if we are Christians, is that yes, God can totally heal us and set us free from all of our past hurts, but experience has shown us that even in physical healing of a miraculous nature, in most cases God expects us to do our part: changes in our lifestyle, nutrition, exercise, healthier mental habits, scripture study and time alone with the Lord.”

One day Jocelan’s friend, Janet, told her of a new technique, EMDR. Susan, Jocelan’s daughter, had the second book on Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).  Jocelan and her husband decided to try the procedure.

Jocelan had been traumatized throughout her life.  At first, the EMDR procedure was long and complex.  Her husband simplified it and called it SEMDR.  SEMDR had only five easy steps.  Then SEMDR was reduced to one important third step, the desensitization step.  This new one step procedure is called Pat Pat Power.

Lesson:    Pat Pat Power works.  The important action is to get to the trauma fast, and to eliminate it quickly and safely.  Everything else is less important.

B. Bill

Bill was an elderly man who was very suicidal and would not check into a hospital.  When he tried Pat Pat Power, he at first claimed that it was not working for him.  Those around Bill could see the difference in his behavior after the first thirty minute session.  About a week later, Bill began seeing the improvement, himself.  He now has a new home, works out regularly, and instead of withdrawn and clothed with shame, he leads a peaceful and joyful life.

Lesson:    1) Removing a trauma, using Pat Pat Power, does not have a “wow” type of feeling.  The subject realizes the trauma is gone when the previous trigger occurs, but they experience no trauma.

2) Lifelong trauma can be eliminated at any age in a person’s life.

C.  Ben

Ben was a ten year old boy who was frightened by a friendly dog when he was eighteen months old.  He could not remember anything about the incident; he only knew what his parents told him.  Whenever Ben saw a dog, he would hide behind his dad’s leg or in the bushes.  The day after using Pat Pat Power, Ben telephoned and told us he had played with the golden retriever next door all day long.  After just four minutes of help with his trauma, Ben’s trauma was overcome.

Lesson:   1) The remembering of the original trauma-causing incident is not required to eliminate that trauma.  Just talk about the reactions caused by the trauma, and the accompanying feelings as they become triggered.

               2) You can eliminate trauma in a very short time.  This can be under four minutes in some cases.

C. Sam

Sam, an insurance man, was traumatized just an hour before he met with us, but he did not want to tell us about the trauma.  We helped Sam without hearing about his trauma, because Pat Pat Power does not require the subject to speak out loud.  We walked Sam to his car as he left.  On the way, he stopped and told us about the event that had traumatized him.  With the trauma relieved, he was now relaxed enough to tell the story out loud.

Lesson:    1) Pat Pat Power relieves trauma even when the person does not talk out loud.

                2) After Pat Pat Power, people can talk about their trauma without stress.

E.  Dan

Dan, now in his sixties, was traumatized as a young child, but could not remember anything about the traumatizing event.  Whenever he saw a bee, Dan would freeze; his muscles simply would not move.  After about four minutes of discussing his reaction to bees, while using Pat Pat Power, the trauma was gone.  A few minutes after using Pat Pat Power, Dan in short pants, encountered several bees around his mailbox.  He did not freeze, and the trauma was gone.

Lesson:     Pat Pat Power can eliminate lifelong trauma in less than four minutes.

E.  Marvin

Marvin had panic attacks in airports.  He felt that his heart was going to stop or he would pass out.  These attacks occurred every time he flew, and he flew regularly.  One Pat Pat Power session and the panic attacks stopped.

Lesson:     Just because you talk about or repeat an action over and over, does not mean that the trauma will resolve itself.  Each time you will just re-traumatize yourself.  Instead, use Pat Pat Power to resolve the trauma in a single session.

F.  Tim

We had known Tim for some time, meeting him at church on Sundays.  On one weekend we talked about Pat Pat Power, little on how it worked and the procedures.  He was very encouraged about it.  Two weeks later we ran into Tim again, and he told us that Pat Pat Power was a life changing experience.  He had been going to a support group and always cried when telling his story.  After Pat Pat Power, for the first time he could tell his story without crying.  He said he combined Pat Pat Power with prayer and this helped him even more.  The Trauma Prayer was born.

Lesson:    Keep an open mind.  You can learn from each case, and sometimes from people who have no previous experience.

G.  Dana

One evening, my wife came into the living room and said that we have to go to the local church music team dinner, even though we are not team members.  “The Lord told us to go.” said my wife.  There was no argument after that.

At the dinner, everyone was asked to explain what he or she wanted to do in the coming year.  “Keep working with our trauma ministry,” was our reply.  With these words, a young woman indicated that she wanted to talk to us.  It seems the Lord had told her to go to the dinner too, though she was not a music team member, either.

Dana had been traumatized throughout her life and had many issues, issues similar to those Jocelan once had.  To escape, Dana had even left her family and changed her name.  Using Pat Pat Power, we resolved each trauma, one at a time.

Lesson:    1) Each trauma needs to be worked on one at a time.

                2) When the Lord says to go somewhere, Jocelan and Don go!

H. Shirley

Shirley phoned us with the news that she discovered her husband dead on the living room floor.  We comforted her, and told her how well Pat Pat Power works with trauma.  Together, over the phone, we described how to use Pat Pat Power, and worked with her until she was calm enough to go on.  Later, she phoned us again and told us how well Pat Pat Power had helped her.

Lesson:    A helper does not need to be present in order to administer Pat Pat Power.

I.  Janet

Janet is a very special lady, the person who started us on the Pat Pat Power journey.  She had attended a lecture on EMDR, and gave us a copy of the lecture’s handouts to read.

Janet had the most violent background of any cases we have helped.  She’d also had physical head trauma.  With these in mind, her psychiatrist told her not to use the EMDR procedure on her own, because it might trigger seizures.

We worked with Janet after developing Pat Pat Power.  Only after going through Pat Pat Power with us was she able to finally put all the events of her past into the proper time sequence.  And she did so without any seizures.

Lesson:    Not always are professionals aware of the latest techniques.  This one knew little about EMDR, and nothing about Pat Pat Power.

J.  Dawn

Dawn was another example of a wonderful woman who had experienced a bad childhood and adult life.  She suppressed the trauma while young, but as she aged the trauma controlled her life more and more.  With Pat Pat Power she faced the trauma, got rid of it, and learned to live a happier life.

Lesson:    Suppressed trauma can show up later in life, and sometimes people use all their energy to control it.  When control is impossible, bad things can result.

K.  Helene

Helene was a foreign student at a local college and had difficulty taking tests.  Anxiety interfered with her ability to do well.  She discovered that if she practiced Pat Pat Power before a test, it helped her to relax, and then she could do her best.

Lesson:    The relaxing feature of Pat Pat Power helps people to relieve anxiety and to perform better at their tasks.

L. Dave

While at a Christian Men’s Luncheon, the subject of Pat Pat Power came up.  One of the men at the lunch, Dave, had a friend who was deep in trauma and needed help.  So the author gave Dave a copy of the Pat Pat Power procedure.  Several days later, Dave reported that his friend had read the literature and experienced life changing results.

Lesson:    Just get the word out.  Pat Pat Power is a self help procedure, and can aid people you’ve not even met.

M. Kathleen

Kathleen went to a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) therapist for six months.  When she discovered she was pregnant, her therapist chose to defer EMDR until after she gave birth.  The therapist felt it better for Kathleen to live with her trauma during pregnancy, than to treat that trauma immediately.

In the meantime, she obtained a book on EMDR, and lent it to the creator of Pat Pat Power.  Later, he gave Kathleen a copy of the Pat Pat Power procedure.  She used this new procedure on herself, and discovered that she no longer needed her therapist.

Since then, Kathleen has used Pat Pat Power to help many people, and recommended others directly to Pat Pat Power’s creator.

Lesson:    It makes no sense to force a woman to suffer with trauma during pregnancy, nor any other time, when Pat Pat Power – a relaxing technique as well as a healing technique – eliminates that trauma in as little as four minutes per trauma.

N.  Judy and Jim

Judy moved from one side of the United States to the other, to marry her boyfriend Jim, in Florida.  For the first several weeks, life was wonderful; it was a lovers’ dream.  Then, suddenly, Jim’s passion for his wife dropped to zero.  No longer was he responsive to Judy or her affection for him.  He would even wake up crying in the middle of the night.  Life became worse, and after six months, Judy began considering whether she should leave her new husband.

Luckily, Judy had a friend.  Judy’s friend knew about Pat Pat Power and how it helps people with trauma, all over America.  Her friend downloaded a copy of Pat Pat Power’s procedures from TraumaZapper.com, and right away she mailed it to Judy.

Two months later, Judy’s friend visited Jim and Judy’s home in Florida.  There, she learned that Pat Pat Power had saved these people’s marriage.  Further, Pat Pat Power had helped Jim’s two daughters, ages 8 and 11, to overcome their trauma, too.  According to Judy and her husband, Pat Pat Power was responsible for their family’s happiness.

The family’s old traumas are gone, so now they work only on new traumas when they arise.

Lesson:   1) Even with no personal contact, Pat Pat Power helped a couple that used it on their own.  Because of the free website, the true number of people helped by Pat Pat Power remains unknown.

2) Pat Pat Power is so simple, easy, and effective, that a novice benefits with no further instructions than to read the procedure, itself.

O.  Georgia

Georgia came to us on our daughter’s recommendation.  She and her husband arrived at our home on a clear, sunshiny Santa Barbara morning.  There, we presented Pat Pat Power, describing the procedure and how it works.

We learned that Georgia had been meeting with a psychiatrist for years, and each time she entered his office, she became re-traumatized.  You see, her trauma involved a second story window, and in this doctor’s office she always sat facing his second story window.

Just after telling us this, Georgia announced that she had to leave our home so she could attend that day’s psychiatric appointment.  We had time to administer only four minutes of Rv, and we used that time to work with her window trauma.  Then we bid her and her husband a good day, and watched them drive off.

The following afternoon my wife talked with Georgia again.  Georgia said that for the first time ever while at her doctor’s office, she was not traumatized by his second story window.  She’d had her best session ever!

Georgia had explained to her psychiatrist about Pat Pat Power’s rhythmical patting and asked if she could use it during their session.  He agreed, saying that the patting of one’s knees like that was a relaxing technique.

Lesson:     The power of Pat Pat Power was not yet known by this psychiatrist.  He was correct that Pat Pat Power has a relaxing effect, but he did not know that its main value is the elimination of trauma.

N. Kate

Kate was our next door neighbor.  When her mother passed away we went to visit and to give our condolences. While there, we recognized that Kate was experiencing emotional turmoil over problems that she and her mother had not reconciled before death.

Kate needed help to work through her grieving.  So we assisted her with a single, thirty minute Pat Pat Power session.  When finished, Kate discovered that her traumas were now resolved, and she expressed great relief at the knowledge.  Afterward, Kate continued with a normal grieving process.

Lesson:    You may need to use Pat Pat Power in situations where you did not expect it.  For example, you might ask someone a question that accidentally triggers one of their past traumas, and that question might bring on a volley of verbal abuse against you, the poor victim.  This is a time when you can immediately start using Pat Pat Power to help that person.  It might get you out of a tough jam, too.

Q.  Louisa

A friend of ours knew a lady named Louisa.  Louisa was having problem answering a list of questions in preparation for her upcoming court case.  The anxiety she felt over the trial kept blocking her concentration, keeping her from accomplishing the task.  By using Pat Pat Power, our friend helped Louisa reduce her anxiety, which in turn enabled her to prepare for the trial.

Lesson:     We had no contact with Louisa; she was helped through a third party.  This is an example where spreading the word about Pat Pat Power can enable third parties.  Telling people how much Pat Pat Power can help them IS WORKING.
